Blossoming Through Burnout: A Journey of Healing in the Garden
Life can often feel overwhelming, like a relentless high-speed roller coaster. I experienced severe burnout from juggling numerous roles and responsibilities, which led me to a significant turning point. In search of relief, I discovered gardening—a sanctuary for healing and rejuvenation.
Engaging in activities such as pulling weeds and planting flowers helped alleviate my stress and restored my sense of well-being. The therapeutic effect of gardening inspired me to explore the concept of play as a means of healing. Recognizing the similarities between the restorative power of gardening and play, I am on a new path as a play advocate.
This new role allows me to create safe spaces for others to express themselves and find healing, just as I did through my garden. My journey highlights the transformative power of finding joy and healing in unexpected places and underscores the importance of self-care and personal growth.
